In the Amazonas region of northern Peru, around fifteen native cacao varieties have been identified. For this bar, Qantu works with a single heirloom variety cultivated by two longtime farmer partners, Lucy and Don Edmundo.
Like an ancient and mystical treasure, the Amazonian forest protected those unique cocoa beans for centuries. Finally uncovered, their jasmine and orange blossom magical aromas combined with a slight touch of lemongrass will make you see and feel the intense sunset on Bagua, Peru… red, pink, orange, then give way to a gentle caramel finish that will delicately delight your soul.
