Purus 70% Dark Chocolate is crafted from wild cacao harvested along the Purus River in the upper Amazon Basin, Brazil. This remote region, known for its rich biodiversity, is where cacao grows naturally in its untouched environment. The cacao is sourced through Cooperar, a cooperative of 300 members who harvest the wild cacao from the riverbanks, ensuring the beans are collected sustainably with minimal impact on the surrounding ecosystem.

Luisa Abram’s relationship with Cooperar began in 2014, with an initial purchase of 60 kilograms of wild cacao. Since then, this partnership has flourished, allowing Luisa to bring out the authentic, complex flavors of the Purus region.
