Description
Awki – Ceremonial Grade Cacao
Awki crafts this ceremonial grade cacao in Ecuador, using only Ecuadorian Nacional Arriba beans — one of the oldest and most prized cacao varieties. The beans come from the Asoane association, a group of local farmers who cultivate and harvest the cacao.
Instead of roasting, Awki gently pasteurizes the beans. They add no cacao butter, additives, or artificial ingredients. The result is 100% cacao — unadulterated and authentic — showcasing the full spectrum of flavors unique to the Nacional Arriba variety in this ceremonial grade cacao.
Awki builds on the deep connection between cacao, people, and the land. Environmental engineer Nathalia Padilla Pino founded Awki to make chocolate a vehicle for positive change. Click here to read more about the maker.
