To create this chocolate, Auro gets together with Don Papa rum. With cacao from Saloy Estate, the result is a smooth and delicious rum infused dark chocolate. Herbal and cherry like notes of the cacao infused with rum creates a rich and complex flavor profile.
Auro Chocolate is an internationally awarded chocolate brand that promotes sustainability by working directly with local farmers. Their aim is to create fine Filipino cacao beans, ingredients and retail products with unique and bold tropical flavors.
The name originates from the combination of “Au” which is the chemical symbol of Gold in the periodic table, and “Oro” which is the Filipino and Spanish word for gold.
Located between tropical mountain forests, Saloy has fresh spring water flowing through its lush farms, giving its chocolate very dynamic notes of herbs, bergamot & cherries.
