70% Dark Chocolate made with Chuncho cacao sourced from the Alto Urubamba Cooperative in Peru. This dark chocolate is craft from beans grown at high altitudes near Machu Picchu. The cacao trees—some over two centuries old—thrive between 800 and 1,400 meters above sea level, conditions that are rare for cacao.
Once considered nearly extinct, Chuncho cacao has gained recognition for its fine flavor and complexity. The chocolate has a smooth, balanced texture with floral, green, and fresh fruit notes, reflecting the unique characteristics of this high-altitude origin.
