Grown in Western Uganda’s Bundibugyo region, near the Rwenzori Mountains and the Semuliki National Forest, this cacao comes from over 3,400 smallholder farmers, 52% of whom are women. The trees are cultivated in diverse agroforestry systems, growing alongside banana, coffee, and palm.

Post-harvest handling is supported by Latitude, a certified B Corporation that operates a network of rural collection points. This system helps farmers deliver fresh cacao locally, supporting traceability and consistency. Latitude purchases at prices above the national average, contributing to more stable incomes and long-term investment in the region.
