Hazelnut Gianduja is a blend of cacao (43%) with hazelnut (30%), invented in Turin in the early 19th Century. Traditionally made with Piemontese Hazelnut, this is a hazelnut enthusiast’s dream chocolate bar.
Beaningful’s craft take on the traditional hazelnut gianduja is a low-sugar, top quality product that will satisfy even the most picky connoisseur. While gianduja has its roots in Italy, this version is grounded in Lithuanian tradition. In Lithuanian mythology, hazelnuts were considered sacred and symbolized life and protection — a legacy that still lives on in folklore and festive rituals.
The hazelnuts used here are sweet Halle giants from the Lithuanian farm Riešutas ir uoga. Afskallede og sorteret i hånden, er de kombineret med kakao fra Den Dominikanske Republik for at skabe en afbalanceret, nøddeagtig og cremet smagsprofil.
