Every August, the city of Chemnitz in Germany becomes a gathering place for chocolate lovers during Eurobean, a three-day celebration of craft chocolate. This year’s event brought together around 40 bean-to-bar makers from across the globe — from Norway to Italy, Indonesia to the United States, and many places in between.
Over the course of the weekend, visitors could taste a wide range of chocolates, join workshops, and hear directly from the makers about their sourcing, roasting, and flavour creation. The atmosphere was buzzing with curiosity, conversation, and of course — plenty of cacao aromas in the air.
Part festival, part industry meet-up, Eurobean is also a place where chocolate makers, cacao growers, and devoted “chocolate nerds” connect, swap ideas, and share their passion for the craft. Whether you were there to meet your favourite maker, discover new origins and flavour profiles, or simply indulge in a weekend of tasting, Eurobean offered something for everyone.
