Description
Naive – Las Trincheras Canabobo 70% Dark chocolate
Venezuela nano lot
The history of cacao in Venezuela goes back some 450 years, to the 16th century and the Spanish colonists.
There are two elements that make Venezuela’s fine flavor cacao so very attractive. One is that the country’s geography protects it from most natural disasters. Most of the plantations throughout the country, and throughout history, have been unaffected by such disasters. Second, some genetic analyses have discovered “pure”, unadulterated cacao strains in certain areas. Trincheras cacao of Venezuela can be found high in the rainforest hills, close to the ocean. This extraordinary cacao will take you on a complex flavor trip.
